Also to expand on theme decks; cards get rotated out of play yearly -- the last four sets to be released get rotated. This year it was Primal Clash, Roaring Skies, and Ancient Origins; which is only three; likely because BREAKthrough was the first set to introduce BREAK cards and they didn't want to remove them so early (forgive me if I'm wrong but BREAKs weren't printed in later sets?)
Unlike VMAX cards, VSTARs have special powerful abilities that can only be used once per game, sometimes less health than VMAX cards, and cost two prize cards instead of 3. Using these abilities can mean the difference between winning or losing a match. In terms of the art, VSTAR cards aren’t necessarily full art, but feature special CGI art
G-Max Drill. 170+. This attack does 50 more damage for each extra Darkness Energy attached to this Pokémon (in addition to this attack’s cost). You can’t add more than 100 damage in this way.
10. Celebi and Venusaur-GX. Set: Team Up. Celebi & Venusaur have no resistance and a huge retreat cost, but their 270 HP helps tank hits, and since they're a basic card, they don't need to evolve. Evergeen GX attack deals a large 180 damage and heals your HP, adding even more tanking. Plus, if you have at least one extra Grass energy attached
These drawbacks do come with benefits; so far, all Pokémon VMAX have had substantially more HP than even their Pokémon V counterparts, and – relative to costs – better effects. Eternatus VMAX is the first (and so far, only) Eternamax Pokémon. As with the Dynamax and Gigantamax classifications, in the TCG these currently aren’t game
